Wasteful Press Release
Following the slow motion synchronized swim of the Artifact music video, Helenor shares single Wasteful. The latest is the fourth and final single new from Helenor’s upcoming debut LP something twice.
“This song is about throwing away food. More so, Wasteful is about not fully appreciating the people or things around you.”
The album something twice will be released on 8/30/19 and the limited edition vinyl is available for pre sale now.
Helenor is the musical moniker for Boston based visual artist David DiAngelis. The debut LP something twice was written and recorded at home over the greater part of a year. Drums were provided by Seth Kasper (Mass Gothic, Christopher Owens, Hooray for Earth, Wild Light, Air Traffic Controller) who also co-produced the album.
David is a working visual artist and designer, whose approach to music is heavily influenced by visual narrative. David studied at Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a concentration in Illustration, and has played in several local acts. The LP something twice was produced at home in an attempt to explore a concept in both a visual and musical landscape simultaneously. It is the product of a patient process, influenced by the various details that home recording reveals.
Musical inspiration for the record came from discographies across multiple genres. From the early days of Beck to Frank Ocean, Deerhunter, Patsy Cline, Elliot Smith and more - each musician casting its own indelible mark.
